Ermenegildo Zegna Supports a World-Class Yacht Racer

In 2013, Ermenegildo Zegna, a brand synonymous with "Made in Italy," has formed a partnership with the automobile manufacturer Maserati. To further strengthen their bond, the two companies participated in the 47th Transpac Race held last July, embarking on an adventure across the sea from Los Angeles to Honolulu.

Capsule Collection Arrives in February

Ermenegildo Zegna and Maserati have entered into a long-term partnership agreement spanning three years. The two companies have already launched collaborative projects that inspire each other, such as the limited edition release of 100 Quattroporte models featuring Zegna's interior fabrics.

This time, Zegna, along with Maserati, is supporting world-class yacht racer Giovanni Soldini, whom Maserati has long supported. A new collaborative initiative has been born.

Zegna will support the Maserati team participating in the grueling Transpac Race, a challenge of sailing across the open sea from Los Angeles to Honolulu, by providing specially crafted functional wear.

The new collection from Zegna utilizes cutting-edge fabric technology. The lineup includes outerwear such as jackets and vests, as well as slim-fit long and short cotton pants, cotton t-shirts, and pique polo shirts.

Furthermore, cardigans, sweatshirts, and pants made from natural high-performance wool, "Techno-merino," offer comfort in various environments, with the fiber's unique composition supporting body movement.

After departing the American continent on July 13th, Soldini's "Maserati" completed the straight course of 2,225 nautical miles (approximately 4,100 kilometers) and arrived at Diamond Head in Honolulu. We eagerly anticipate how these two leading Italian brands will continue to captivate us with their collaborations.

The capsule collection, inspired by the crew wear of the Maserati, is scheduled to be available in all Ermenegildo Zegna stores starting February 2014.
