Six Mid-80s Models Reissued

EYEVAN, Japan's first fashion eyewear brand, was born in 1972 with the concept of 'glasses to wear.'

Drawing inspiration from antique eyewear collected worldwide, the design team of the time infused their unique aesthetic and sensibility, crafting handmade eyewear that garnered a devoted international following.

Now, EYEVAN makes its return with a new collection titled 'Capsule Collection.' It features items that embody the EYEVAN spirit, rooted in the current trend for classic styles.

Redesigned based on six models from the mid-80s, the lineup includes both frames and sunglasses. Modern technology merges with the craftsmanship of eyewear production from Sabae City, Fukui Prefecture, a region with over 100 years of history.

Attention to detail is evident in the material selection, such as the use of meticulously recreated titanium metal parts and the adoption of top-grade Italian glass lenses for the sunglasses.


The 'E-0020' series features a Boston-shaped metal frame with distinctive dragon motif engravings on the Manray bridge and temples. A subtly sophisticated model with hidden craftsmanship in its simple appearance.


The 'E-0501' series recreates the original design using a 'soft frame' technique, where an acetate rim is wrapped around a metal rim. Like the 'E-0020,' the metal parts are made of titanium. The appeal lies in the nostalgic, authentic frame color palette, centered around tortoiseshell variations.


The 'E-0505' series showcases an iconic style that has served as the design inspiration for many brands since its release, representing a signature EYEVAN model. It's a combination frame featuring a Boston-shaped plastic rim, a Manray bridge, and distinctive temple pieces.


The 'E-504' series features a delicate and beautiful design with cloisonné enamel applied by hand to the titanium rim by artisans. The thinner frame compared to the 'E-505' adds an intellectual nuance.


The 'E-507' series features a round plastic rim combined with a Manray bridge and distinctively designed temple pieces, creating a beautiful combination similar to the 'E-0505.' Its simple silhouette is versatile enough to complement any attire.


The 'E-0951' series is a combination frame with a distinctive Boston shape that emphasizes the browline. It features an original construction with a Manray bridge secured by flathead screws and temple pieces fixed with both flathead screws and rivets.

The 'Capsule Collection' updates timeless archives for contemporary trends. These pieces showcase their presence as fashion statements while reflecting modern Japanese manufacturing expertise.
