Entering its 20th year, the brand moves forward with enhanced creativity
—What is the theme/concept for the 2013 Spring/Summer collection?
"BRIGHT."
—Please tell us about the theme/concept.
This collection focuses on materials and colors, while building upon ato's signature items. We aimed to create clothes that are timeless yet uplifting to wear.
—What are the key looks (coordinations)?
We've incorporated many feminine materials (such as estate, cupro, and rayon) to create outerwear and pants coordinated to emphasize draped lines. Additionally, iconic menswear pieces like rider's blousons are crafted from thin, lustrous fabrics, giving them an impression akin to dresswear.
—What are the key items?
Pants with elastic at the waist. We offer a wide variety of designs and colors in materials like cotton and wool. For wool, we've added a single pleat at the front for a sophisticated look, while the cotton versions come in a rich array of colors, finished as chino-style pants.
—What are the key colors?
There isn't a single key color. The collection features a palette of落ち着いた (calm) menswear base colors (like green, beige, navy, gray) combined with bright colors (orange, gold, yellow). Please also look out for bi-color designs and monochromatic gradients.
—A message to your fans?
2013 marks the 20th anniversary of ato's founding. We aim to balance creation and business by refining our product designs, which embody the brand's concept and identity, and integrating them with our communications (website, visual tools, etc.). We hope you will look forward to it.
