“Made in Japan” Denim Captures Global Attention

In the half-century since CANTON®'s inception in 1963, Japanese denim technology has reached the world's highest level. Today, luxury brands from around the globe eagerly adopt Japanese denim.

Jeans from CANTON® OVERALLS are crafted exclusively in Japan by Japanese artisans. This is a testament to the spirit and techniques learned from the pioneers who dedicated themselves to the craft, tracing back to the 19th century when jeans first originated.

Particularly noteworthy are the jeans created in collaboration with Kaihara Co., Ltd., a venerable denim fabric manufacturer from Hiroshima Prefecture, which have garnered high praise worldwide. They boast a superb finish that, while of high quality, retains the rugged, raw texture characteristic of denim, making them a source of pride for Japanese denim.

Furthermore, the brand introduced its first shirts in the Autumn/Winter 2012 collection. These shirts, showcasing extensive expertise in dyeing and washing processes, represent a new frontier confidently explored by CANTON® OVERALLS.
