Expressing the Shifting Facets of Clothing

Ground Y (Ground Y) is a brand that proposes new possibilities in fashion through "genderless" and "ageless" styles, incorporating multifaceted elements that synchronize with its concept through the lens of Yohji Yamamoto Inc.

From Ground Y comes the "Ground Y x Evangelion 2018-19AW Collection," a collaboration with the "Rebuild of Evangelion" film series.

The 2018-19 Autumn/Winter season unfolds under the theme "Clash and Reaction." It expresses the shifting facets of clothing itself through the collision of its constituent elements.

The first collaboration features the "Rebuild of Evangelion" film series, beloved by many fans. Utilizing precious production art from the series (EVA Unit-00/EVA Unit-02/EVA Unit-13/Rei/Asuka/Mari), Ground Y presents a unique collection that fuses the meticulous craftsmanship of artisans with the distinct world of Evangelion.

The outerwear, a reimagined long shirt tailored like a jacket, boldly features character production art from the original animation on its lining, resulting in items that can be worn as real-to-life clothing. Also available are a relaxed long cardigan made from mixed materials and balloon pants crafted from rayon twill. The monochrome prints are finished with a unique texture, as each piece is hand-painted by artisans.

The key visuals feature model and actress Airi Matsui, Men's Non-no model Keisuke Nakata, and photographer Takako Noel.
