Debuting last season, WORK for PLAY NUMERO UNO is a menswear brand also helmed by Mr. Hiroshi Ozawa, like Numero Uno. Its first Spring/Summer collection emphasizes styling through monochrome visuals.

Could you tell us about the theme/concept?

As the brand name suggests, WORK for PLAY = "Working to Play," our concept is to skillfully blend playfulness with a foundation of "work, military, and uniform."
We don't set a theme for each season; instead, we've toned down Numero Uno's characteristic flair to create a collection that adult men can wear with understated confidence.

What are the key looks (coordinations)?

The key look features shorts layered with a shirt (bottom left). We create items that feel familiar, perhaps seen in vintage shops or authentic American casual wear, but with a subtle twist. We aim for styling and arrangements that make them look fresh.

What are the key items?

Our linen shop coat. We've updated the design to avoid a typical vintage look, incorporating reinforcement tape as a design accent.


What are the key colors?

Indigo to navy tones. These are used in denim sweat, the shop coat with reinforcement tape, and work shirts.

These are clothes for adult men, with Numero Uno's characteristic flair subtly toned down. Although we've just debuted and the number of items is limited, we are committed to the impeccable quality of each piece.
