Barneys New York Releases the HIGH-LINE COLLECTION for Early Summer 2018

A Collaboration with Jey Perie and sitateru
Barneys New York's original label, HIGH LINE COLLECTION, releases its early summer 2018 collection. The collection features designer Jey Perie and a collaboration with the apparel production platform, sitateru. A launch party will be held to coincide with Mr. Perie's visit to Japan, where guests can enjoy music and drinks while viewing the collection. The event takes place on Tuesday, March 20, 2018 (the day before a public holiday).

Concept: "Late 80’s Miami"
The HIGH LINE COLLECTION is Barneys New York's original label. It comprises three lines: "HIGH-Fashion," "HIGH-Technology," and "HIGH-QUALITY," offering items that pursue functionality, design, and quality.
For the early summer 2018 season, Barneys New York has collaborated with Jey Perie, an emerging designer from New York, and "sitateru" (pronounced shi-ta-te-ru), Japan's first apparel production platform.
sitateru is a service that manages data on the time, skills, and resources of domestic sewing factories, enabling integrated apparel production with "small lots, high quality, and short delivery times." Furthermore, it resolves and supports all apparel production challenges through its database of affiliated pattern makers and fabric suppliers, as well as dedicated production concierges.
The concept for the collection is "Late 80’s Miami." Miami, with its beautiful sunsets and palm trees, evokes an image of the American Dream, serving as the design inspiration for this collection. Mr. Perie visits Miami more than five times a year, drawn by its allure.
To celebrate Mr. Perie's visit to Japan, a special launch party for the BARNEYS NEW YORK × Jey Perie × sitateru limited collection will be held. A wide range of items, from cutsews to gowns and caps, will be showcased.
On the day of the event, guests can enjoy drinks at the bar space while listening to DJ music and viewing the new collection. A limited pre-sale will also be available before the official release of the collection.
Designer Jey Perie himself will be present to share the appeal of this collection. Don't miss this valuable opportunity.
Jey Perie
Born in southwestern France in 1984. He has lived in Barcelona, Hong Kong, and Tokyo, and is currently based in New York. He continues to travel the world, with a network spanning diverse cultural spheres. He currently serves as Creative Director for KINFOLK, directing its store and original label. He also acts as a brand consultant for Japanese brands such as BEDWIN & THE HEARTBREAKERS and has collaborated with Converse, Adidas, and Nike. In 2017, he was named GQ US's Best Menswear Designer and released a capsule collection in collaboration with GAP.
