A Mountain Parka Pursuing "Simplicity"

From A Vontade, a brand that aims to create timeless pieces based on vintage American, European workwear, military, and sportswear, comes a new mountain parka. The head shop "Bricklayer" in Nakameguro, Tokyo, will also be selling a limited edition in black and orange.

Lightweight, Comfortable, and Versatile for All Seasons

Since its launch in 2003, A Vontade has focused on materials, sewing techniques, and details that convey the maker's "essence."

This season's creation is a single-layer mountain parka made from "60/40 grosgrain" fabric. The dense weave enhances wind and water resistance. The horizontal ribbing is due to the difference in thickness between the warp and weft yarns.

Lightweight Polyester Snap Buttons

White Accents Provide a Striking Contrast

To minimize weight, all buttons are lightweight, tone-on-tone polyester snap buttons. The drawcords, adjusters, and piping are unified in white. The hood is detachable, allowing it to be worn as a swing top when removed.

While it's a simple mountain parka, it's infused with the maker's ideas and ingenuity. This balance of creating a functional item with only the necessary elements is perhaps A Vontade's greatest strength. It's a piece to keep in your wardrobe.
