A Limited Edition Bag Filled with Surprises
M/M (Paris) is an art and design duo currently based in Paris. They operate their own design shop and are consistently the subject of buzz for their collaborations with major artists and designers. Toshiki Yagisawa, on the other hand, is a product designer who established his own brand, "TOSHIKI," in 2011, after managing the contemporary gallery "Gallery Countach" until last year.
The special set born from this collaboration is aptly named "A Hundred Bags Full of Surprises." It features a distinctive color scheme, with dark blue suede used for the bag's base and yellow canvas for the handles. The M/M logo is prominently silk-screened on both sides. Furthermore, the bag's body is crafted from vinyl material with flame-retardant treatment, and it includes three internal pockets, making it a highly functional piece. It is made in Japan and handcrafted individually by artisans.
Each set includes a delightful surprise: a copy of "M to M of M/M (Paris)," an original brand book. This book features interviews with artists such as singer Björk, photographer Inez & Vinoodh, and fashion designer Nicolas Ghesquière, offering rich content. An additional surprise awaits: a rare, one-of-a-kind original item randomly selected from the archives of M/M (Paris)'s online shop will be included.
This collaboration set, complete with a serial number and signature, is limited to 100 pieces. Purchases are by pre-order only and will be available through the M/M (Paris) online shop or at colette.
