The World of Mr.BATHING APE® x NIGO®, Captured by Photographer Shin Suzuki

Mr.BATHING APE® was previously a collaborative label with United Arrows, but from this season it has become an independent BAPE® label. For this lookbook, I decided to return to the roots and do it myself. I asked photographer Shin Suzuki to handle the shoot.

Mr.BATHING APE® is a small collection, handled entirely by myself and my assistant since its inception. The brand's core principles—British and American traditional styles—remain unchanged, as does the proposal of "business and dress styles for those who wear A BATHING APE®."

This season, we've added elements like favorite materials from A BATHING APE® and popular camouflage patterns to that concept. The collection also includes sophisticated knit caps, leather casquettes, and accessories like bow ties.





To convey a sense of "classical basics" this time, I wanted to create a feeling of time travel, so we shot at an old mansion recommended by Shin. The visuals turned out as I had envisioned, and as you look through the photos, I believe you'll feel a narrative unfolding, culminating in an exit to the outdoors.

Among the detail shots and styles, I'm particularly fond of the "HERRINGBONE AMERICAN 2PC SUIT" coordination.

Even with a dress brand, I want to incorporate playfulness wherever possible. Moving forward, I aim to continue proposing "cool suits" that offer a contemporary, authentic style, perfectly fitted for Japanese physiques.
