Yuji Takao, who has been involved as planning manager since the launch of the brand RICO, presents his new brand, "TEATRO 88." This is a menswear brand, pronounced "Te-a-tro." The debut collection's theme, "SNAZZ UP," proposes a wardrobe that transcends mere "snazz" (elegance, chic, stylishness).

The meticulousness of an experienced Japanese designer and clothing crafted with precision

TEATRO aims for a distinct presence, achieved through the use of carefully selected materials, exceptional comfort, and beautiful forms born from pattern techniques, where the form itself becomes the design.

Designer Yuji Takao states, "I want adults who have enjoyed various styles to wear these clothes. They are not overly styled, offering a good kind of relaxed flair. I want to convey culture born from attention to detail, materials that directly impact comfort, and the remixing of items. We are developing this with an image of being elegant, rhythmic, funny, and sexy, like the dapper men seen on Italian streets."

The relaxed feel of stretch fabrics, a comfortably fitted silhouette, and the catchy star motif used as an icon—the unique character crafted by a maker who truly understands clothes and trends comes through, even in this debut brand.

Yuji TAKAO
After graduating from a vocational school for menswear fashion, he joined TOKIO KUMAGAI ITALIA in 1988 and moved to Italy. Upon returning to Japan, he served as Chief Pattern Maker at a major apparel manufacturer. From the founding of RICO in 2002, he worked in planning, pattern making, and as planning manager. In 2012, he established ALTO CODA Inc. In the 2012-13 Autumn/Winter season, he launched his original brand, "TEATRO 88."
