Focus on a Noteworthy Artist Brand from Sydney
Based in Palm Beach, Sydney, Australia, THE CRITICAL SLIDE SOCIETY (TCSS) is an artist brand that offers boardshorts and expresses various artworks. Their items are designed to be enjoyed both by the sea and in town, with T-shirts featuring the artist's drawings, particularly those with an outstanding sense of parody, being highly popular. In Japan, they are available at United Arrows, BEAMS T, Ron Herman, Journal Standard, Oshman's, and Freaks Store, among others.

An "Alternative" Approach to Ideas and Concepts
Though a relatively young brand established in 2007, TCSS has earned high praise from surfers who value style.
Their concept is to "artistically and three-dimensionally express nature and the sea within everyday life." They continue to create products inspired by 1950s and 60s Californian surf style, as well as the wild pioneers of Australia in the late 60s. Their designs are characterized by a blend of modern and classic aesthetics.
TCSS also disseminates cutting-edge culture through collaborations with Australian artists and surfers like Jim Mitchell and Ben Waters, board builder Sage Joske, and surf artists from around the world. It also serves as a medium to express their "alternative" ideas, unbound by convention.
TCSS is available not only at high-end shops on the US West Coast but also in New York, San Francisco, and the UK, and is carried by prominent select shops in Japan.
