Unveiling the "Richness of Hermès" Through Diverse Creations

Bessatsu Katei Gahō: The All About Hermès is a collaboration between Hermès, a Maison dedicated to refined aesthetics in its craftsmanship, and Katei Gahō, a venerable magazine renowned for its discerning taste and textured photographic style. Through features on Parisian ateliers and boutiques, and interviews with creators, this special edition delves into the "richness of Hermès."

Hermès' creations, spanning fashion, bags, watches, accessories, tableware, and leather goods, each breathe the Maison's unique spirit. This volume deeply explores the production processes and history behind these items, offering a compelling read for enthusiasts.

Hermès also made a significant entry into furniture production in 2010 by reviving the works of Jean-Michel Frank, a leading Art Deco interior designer (1895-1941). Last year, the Maison garnered considerable attention with the unveiling of chairs designed by masters Enzo Mari and Antonio Citterio, highlighting how interiors have become a cornerstone of Hermès' product line. The book provides an in-depth look at this aspect of the brand.

Furthermore, the publication showcases the brand's diverse facets, including "petit h," a project launched two years ago that reimagines "beautifully discarded items"—such as leather scraps from bag making or Carré scarves with minor imperfections—into unique, one-of-a-kind pieces. This initiative, built upon the Maison's 170-year legacy, exemplifies a playful yet sophisticated approach.

The luxurious supplements are another highlight of this special edition. Bessatsu Katei Gahō: The All About Hermès distills the spirit of Hermès, passed down through generations of artisans and creators who possess an intimate understanding of materials. This volume offers a profound glimpse into the Maison's dedication to creating beauty with sincerity.
