Levi's® Realizes Cyclists' Needs with Superior Craftsmanship

Denver, the capital of Colorado, is a mecca for American bicycle culture, alongside San Francisco and New York.

This is because the city has implemented one of America's largest rental cycle systems, with rental cycle terminals scattered throughout. Not only residents and tourists, but anyone visiting the city can ride for just $6. Consequently, Denver has a large cycling population, fostering an environment where a dense bicycle community can easily form among those captivated by the charm of cycling. It is, in essence, a bicycle city, distinct from San Francisco or New York.





It was through a fateful encounter with Denver's bicycle community that Levi's® design team developed a new line. This is the "Levi's® Commuter," launching on Friday, April 20th, at Levi's® stores, select BEAMS locations, and all 23 W-BASE stores, a premier cycle shop in Tokyo.

This new line was created by listening to the "real" voices of Denver's bicycle community, aiming to eliminate all inconveniences experienced while cycling and pursuing convenience, safety, and functionality. It was developed to enable a comfortable bicycle life even in denim.

For example, the denim pants, an adaptation of the global fit "511," use stretch material that combines water repellency and antibacterial properties, ensuring stress-free movement and complete protection against rain and sweat. Furthermore, the inseam, prone to abrasion from the saddle, is double-reinforced with denim material, the side seams feature 3M reflective material, and the waistband includes a band for storing U-locks and other items, demonstrating meticulous attention to detail for cyclists.





Additionally, the trucker jacket, a signature piece from Levi's® tops, features ventilation on the back yoke for breathability and is designed with longer back hems and sleeves to prevent riding up during a forward-leaning cycling posture. Of course, it uses water-repellent and waterproof stretch denim, ensuring excellent performance in all conditions.

In addition to these, the collection includes three pant models—colored pants, trousers, and cropped pants—and two top models: an M65-based trucker jacket and a chambray shirt. Levi's® Commuter strongly supports the diversifying bicycle culture from a clothing perspective.
