Exquisite Reproductions to Captivate Levi’s® Aficionados

Levi’s® Vintage Clothing is a label that faithfully reproduces garments from the Levi’s® archive, tracing its origins back to the 1870s. It meticulously pursues the fit, materials, and features of the era. One could say it’s a label that allows us to trace Levi’s® history through its items.

1967 Type III Trucker Jacket “Big Monster”
In the 1770s, America had fraternities (social organizations for male university and graduate students), whose origins remained unclear until the 1820s. However, many are believed to have evolved from the principles and customs of Freemasonry. It is said that some items were practically used for initiation ceremonies or official purposes within American student societies like fraternities.

This jacket, known as Levi’s® Type III, is crafted from 14-ounce preshrunk, right-hand twill denim. It features two large pocket flaps, waist adjusters, and copper shank buttons, with stitching in three colors.
Furthermore, this “Big Monster” features hand-stitched appliqué, though the background of this particular jacket, acquired from a vintage store, unfortunately remains unknown.

Denim Tote Bag
In the 1960s, a design studio in San Francisco called “Now Design” was commissioned by Levi’s® to design denim accessories.

Denim accessories such as bags, hats, and aprons were created with simplicity, functionality, and the user in mind. The bags invariably featured red cotton for the handles.
This Denim Tote Bag is a generously sized, practical design, distinguished by the visible selvedge on the interior.

Levi’s® Vintage Clothing Official Website Launched

The new website traces Levi’s® history back to 1853, when it was founded as a dry goods store in San Francisco, influenced by the California Gold Rush. It introduces the history of Levi’s® as America’s oldest and most iconic clothing company.

Particularly noteworthy are the various styles of 501® from the Levi’s® archive. Eight iconic 501® jeans will be released, each with its own historical context detailing the evolution of its design. Visitors will also be able to browse a wide range of Levi’s® archive items, preserved at the San Francisco headquarters and never before publicly displayed. The site will also offer regular news updates and allow registration for the Levi’s® Vintage Clothing newsletter.
