Spring & Summer 2012 Men’s Laurel Wreath Collection by Fred Perry
Since last autumn/winter season, the "Laurel Wreath Men’s Collection" has featured a new brand mark with 30 leaves. This season, Kenneth Mackenzie, founder and designer of the British fashion label "6876 (Six Eight Seven Six)", joins the team.
The Spring/Summer 2012 collection harmonizes Kenneth Mackenzie's meticulous attention to detail and architectural silhouettes and structures with Fred Perry's iconic core items – the Fred Perry shirt, Harrington jacket, V-neck sweater, cardigan, slim-fit shirt, and pencil trousers – further deepening Fred Perry's original urban streetwear aesthetic.
Mackenzie states, "My primary design philosophy is to reinterpret classic menswear, represented by Fred Perry, using proven traditional materials and construction within appropriate partnerships, to create an evolved wardrobe."
Highlights of this collection include reimagined polo shirts with Mackenzie's signature details on the collar and body, woven shirts with playful chest pockets, and outerwear with carefully considered silhouettes. Notably, materials are sourced from the UK whenever possible and produced in British factories.
