A New Brand Radiating "Centripetal Force" Launches

"CENTRIPETAL FORCE" is a new brand helmed by a young 30-year-old designer, launching with the SS12 collection. Designer Takefumi Murakami graduated from Dressmaker Gakuin and then worked in production and patternmaking at apparel manufacturer "WR" from 2003. He subsequently served as production manager for the menswear collection brand "ILIAD" and the accessory brand "haraKIRI" before establishing Centripetal Force in 2011.

Leveraging his extensive experience in manufacturing, Centripetal Force is characterized by the designer's hands-on approach to patternmaking, with a strong focus on silhouette and cutting. While the distinctive cut of the shirts is a highlight, the collection also offers a rich variety of T-shirts featuring words like "Warning," "Peace," "Emotion," and "Adventure."

Centripetal Force refers to the force acting on an object in uniform circular motion, meaning "centripetal force" or "attractive force." True to its name, the brand explores and presents creations that draw in both the viewer and the wearer.
