The World of Yohji Yamamoto Revisited Through Archives, Photography, and Video
This year marks a triple anniversary: 30 years since a striking debut at the Paris Collection in 1981, and the year designer Mr. Yohji Yamamoto was awarded the Commandeur de l'Ordre des Arts et des Lettres, the highest honor in France's Order of Arts and Letters. To commemorate this, the exhibition will feature a display of archival pieces presented at YOHJI YAMAMOTO's Paris Collections, alongside photographic works taken by acclaimed photographers such as Peter Lindbergh, Max Vadukul, and Craig McDean between 1984 and 2002 for catalogs and fashion magazines.

From the YOHJI YAMAMOTO Spring/Summer 1999 Collection
The space, cloaked in black, evokes a sense of wandering into the world of "MY DEAR BOMB," his first autobiography published this spring, unfolding as if inviting a "dialogue" between the visitor and the works.
Additionally, a video VTR titled "Yohji Yamamoto: The Poet of Black," produced by the Victoria and Albert Museum (V&A) and featured in the "Yohji Yamamoto Exhibition" recently held at the V&A in the UK, will also be screened.
