Marunouchi Stores, Two Open Simultaneously!

On February 5th, the COMME des GARÇONS Marunouchi store reopened after renovation. In conjunction with this, another shop has appeared on the first floor of the nearby Marunouchi My Plaza, with the concept being that the two Marunouchi stores form one single shop. Following its expansion in Asia, with stores in Seoul, Beijing, and Singapore, COMME des GARÇONS is now set to reveal a new face in Marunouchi.

Parisian Favorite 'Rose Bakery' Makes Its Japan Debut

Last year, the COMME des GARÇONS shop 'I.T BEIJING MARKET' opened in Beijing. This store, which offers all lines as well as select brands from other designers, similar to '10 Corso Como COMME des GARÇONS' in Aoyama, boasts the world's largest floor space at 1800 square meters. The full-scale entry of a maison of this type, previously absent in China, has provided a significant stimulus to the Chinese fashion world. In Seoul, a five-story building opened last summer in Hannam-dong as an exclusive shop, followed by a store opening in Singapore in January. The brand's popularity in Asia has been rapidly growing, leading to a series of new openings.

Now, in Tokyo's Marunouchi, a new initiative is underway with the simultaneous opening of two shops in the same area along Nakadori Street. The concept is not simply to divide by men's and women's lines, but to manage the two stores as one, with each housing distinct brands. The renovated store will feature brands such as 'Tricot' and 'GANRYU,' while the new store will house 'COMME des GARÇONS,' 'COMME des GARÇONS HOMME PLUS,' and 'COMME des GARÇONS COMME des GARÇONS.' Furthermore, the new shop will host the first Japanese branch of the popular Parisian café, 'Rose Bakery.' COMME des GARÇONS brings the latest Parisian flair to Marunouchi.
