Four Eyewear Models Released: "Oliver Goldsmith for Continuer"


Ten years have passed since the sensational revival in 2005 of "OLIVER GOLDSMITH," the venerable British eyewear brand founded in 1926. Continuer in Ebisu, Tokyo, has produced numerous exclusive items with the brand. Their first collaboration of 2015, featuring four bespoke models expressing "classic & mode" through color, will be released on Thursday, April 16th.

First Collection Features Popular "CONSUL" and "VICE CONSUL"


In the 1950s, "Oliver Goldsmith" sparked a major movement with its radical designs and color palettes, earning acclaim as the very symbol of European eyewear. The collection revived in 2005 primarily features models from the 1950s to the 1970s, which captivated many celebrities of the era.

Marble Black: Expressing Elegant Classic Style


Continuer's first bespoke collection of 2015 features Oliver Goldsmith's masterpiece models, "CONSUL" and "VICE CONSUL." From their extensive lineup, the popular, gender-neutral sized "CONSUL-50" and "VICE CONSUL-ss" have been recreated in "Marble Black," a color characterized by its unique, marble-like texture.

Vintage materials, including Marble Black, were so popular during the brand's 2005 revival that stock quickly depleted. This time, however, the revival has been made possible using current materials, marking the first since 2009. Pay attention to the exquisite texture and color that further enhance their elegance.

Two Metal Frame Models Also Debut with Delicate Charm


In addition to "CONSUL" and "VICE CONSUL," this collection also introduces bespoke colors for the metal frames "Oliver OVAL/PRO" and "Oliver Oban," finished with grey enamel. The combination of traditional oval and round shapes with a cool grey offers a fresh, balanced aesthetic.

Continuer also proposes sunglasses featuring matching grey tones or cool blue lenses to further accentuate the modern impression.
