2015-16 Autumn/Winter Collection: A Deep Dive into "Japanese Clothing"
Masaaki Matsumura made a significant debut at the Milan Collection in 2006 as the youngest creative director for "Giuliano Fujiwara," garnering considerable attention. His new menswear brand, "PINE," recently held its first press exhibition in Japan, following its showcase in Paris, unveiling the 2015-16 Autumn/Winter collection.

Commitment to Japanese Manufacturing, from Materials to Sewing
Born in 1980, Matsumura studied fashion at a university in London. In 2005, he was appointed Creative Director of Giuliano Fujiwara, debuting at the Milan Collection the following year. In 2013, he established FOREST PINE DESIGN LAB inc. and launched the new brand "PINE."
Inspired by Japanese nature and incorporating elements of the outdoors, the urban and modern designs are already available across Europe and are being sold in Japan, primarily through select shops.
The collection utilizes materials and accessories made in Japan, with the delicate and innovative craftsmanship and attention to detail characteristic of Japanese artisans evident throughout. The commitment extends to the sewing, which is also done in Japan.
Focus on "PINE EYEWEAR"
Adding a new dimension to the PINE collection is "PINE EYEWEAR," a line of functional and modern men's eyewear designed with the concept of "a new life in the forest."
The frames feature classic Boston types among other styles. Engravings on the bridge and special screws highlight the brand's identity, adding a sophisticated urban touch to any ensemble.
PINE EYEWEAR is crafted in Sabae, Fukui, a world-renowned center for eyewear production, with the collection showcasing the meticulous skill of Japanese artisans in every detail.
