A Collaboration Between Takeo Kikuchi, Barry Kamen, and Poggy
“UNITED ARROWS & SONS × TAKEO KIKUCHI” Pop-Up Store Opens
TAKEO KIKUCHI, which held its first show in 13 years on March 16th to significant acclaim, has partnered with Motofumi “Poggy” Kogi, director of UNITED ARROWS & SONS. Kogi was inspired by a collaboration between the brand's founder, Takeo Kikuchi, and Barry Kamen, the artist who led the legendary stylist collective BUFFALO. The resulting collaboration items from “UNITED ARROWS & SONS × TAKEO KIKUCHI” are available at UNITED ARROWS & SONS (within the Harajuku Main Store Men's Building) until Sunday, April 12th.

A Style Infused with the Spirit of London Streets
Takeo Kikuchi, who is actively celebrating his brand's 30th anniversary with events like his recent show, and Barry Kamen, who led the legendary stylist group BUFFALO in the 80s and continues to thrive as both a stylist and artist based in London, have maintained their friendship since Kikuchi's 1986 collection.
This collaboration, born from a timeless crossover of their creative energies, now includes Poggy, a key figure in Tokyo's current street culture scene, culminating in this pop-up store.
What is the Meaning Behind the "TRUTH AND HERO" Artwork?
The artwork "TRUTH AND HERO," featured throughout the collaboration items, was proposed by Barry Kamen to Takeo Kikuchi on the occasion of the brand's 30th anniversary. It expresses the concept that "only those who consistently pursue truth are qualified to be heroes" through three words.
Rendered in Kamen's signature style, the words are torn from British tabloids and arranged, their bold fonts and impactful phrasing creating a strong impression on the viewer.
The collaboration items are available at UNITED ARROWS & SONS, the WORLD ONLINE STORE, TAKEO KIKUCHI Shibuya Meijidori Main Store, and TAKEO KIKUCHI Taipei SOGO.
Four-Day "KITH Tokyo" Pop-Up Shop Announced
KITH, a footwear shop curated by Ronnie Fieg, a leading figure in sneaker design, has locations in NoHo and Brooklyn, New York.
This pop-up store will feature collaboration sneakers with PUMA, as well as original products created with John Elliott, under the theme "SAKURA PROJECT."
