AVALONE 2015 Spring/Summer Collection
This season's theme is “HOT HOOD HIPSTER.” Focus on materials and sizing.
Launched in the Spring/Summer 2013 season, AVALONE is a men's brand that now incorporates elements of subculture as a secondary concept, with the main themes of "futurism, street, and sportswear." Designer Susumu Miura explains, "This season's theme is 'HOT HOOD HIPSTER – the eccentric guy of the hot street.'"

Material selection that evokes a sense of mode even within sportswear.
──What is the theme/concept for the 2015 Spring/Summer collection?
This season's theme is “HOT HOOD HIPSTER – the eccentric guy of the hot street.” It's a theme that satirizes those who misuse the word HIPSTER. In the collection, we use materials that convey a sense of mode even within sportswear, and create a street feel through sizing. Please pay attention to the original processing of nylon materials and the development of fabrics that seem to fuse sports and mode.
──What were the points you focused on for this season's look shoot, and what should people look out for?
We worked to create a sense of live performance, as if there were a story and a backstory.
──What are the differences in styling, silhouette, and color compared to last year's Spring/Summer collection?
The materials. We focused on tech materials and original processing.
This season's special feature: ultrasonic punching processing.
──What are the key items and key colors?
The key items are those combining modal fabric and tech material. The colors are pale shades.
──What "materials" did you focus on this season?
Materials using ultrasonic punching processing.
──Please tell us about the items, silhouettes, or materials that define "AVALONE."
The sets.
──What supports the brand's creativity?
Inspiration.
