A Latest Collection That Reimagined Patterns to Create New Forms
“This season, we re-examined patterns from scratch, largely abandoned previous iterations, and created new forms,” says designer Ryuhei Kohoshi. While he doesn’t set a theme each season, the designs have evolved significantly compared to last year’s spring/summer collection.

We Want You to Appreciate the Hidden Designs Within
──What were the key points you focused on for this season's lookbook shoot, and what should people pay attention to?
We shot the collection using the same layout as the past few seasons. The aim was to create a composition where each look stands on its own, yet the colors and balance come together cohesively when viewed as a whole.
──What are the differences from last year's spring/summer collection in terms of styling, silhouette, and color?
This season, we revised the designs, much like the patterns. Previously, we favored designs that were clearly expressed on the surface. However, starting around the last autumn/winter season (2014-15), we've been aiming for designs that feel more hidden within.
──What is the key look (coordination) for this season?
I believe the coordination in the center of the photo, including the fabric used and the color combination, is the most representative. Please also pay attention to the look on the bottom left; I particularly like its silhouette and balance.
Focus on Fabrics from Italian Manufacturer 'ALBIN'
──What are the key items and key colors?
The key item is the oversized pants shown in the top left of the photo. This is because, when developing this season's designs, we centered the composition around the silhouette of these pants.
The key color is pink. We used pink as a kind of 'noise' within the overall harmony, creating a sense of dissonance. In that sense, I believe it's a key color.
──What 'materials' did you focus on this season?
The fabrics from the Italian manufacturer 'ALBIN'. I was captivated by this unique material, which features a botanical pattern embroidered over a plaid base. I also appreciate its refined texture, thanks to the high-twist yarns used.
──What items, silhouettes, or materials define 'NuGgETS'?
Although I'm not consciously aware of it myself, I often hear people say that 'the shirts are skillfully made,' so I suppose it's the shirts.
──What fuels the brand's creativity?
There are people expressing themselves through various professions and methods. Learning about those who are active in their fields inspires and resonates with me, motivating me to do my best in my own.
