FREEMANS SPORTING CLUB

Spring/Summer 2015 Collection

A Vision of 1970s West Coast

The Spring/Summer 2015 collection from menswear shop FREEMANS SPORTING CLUB draws inspiration from the 1970s West Coast of America, evoking scenes of whitewashed architecture and vast landscapes as imagined by New Yorkers with a penchant for bohemian culture. The collection will be available in stores from mid-February.

The Spring/Summer 2015 collection takes inspiration from films and television series set on the 1970s West Coast, such as Elliott Gould's starring role in Robert Altman's "The Long Goodbye" and James Garner's "The Rockford Files." The collection was photographed in Montauk, the easternmost town in New York State.

It is also inspired by iconic American men, including Johnny Carson, the beloved national comedian who hosted "The Tonight Show" for 30 years, and the legendary film producer Robert Evans.

Against a backdrop of nostalgic streetscapes, the collection features a color palette celebrating the warm West Coast lifestyle, with bold patterned jackets and shirts, vivid Winchester suits, and white pants and shorts.

Pay attention to the intriguing contrast between the free-spirited, natural atmosphere of the 1970s West Coast under bright sunlight and FREEMANS SPORTING CLUB's signature image of the rugged man.
