Reimagining Mackintosh's Heritage with a Touch of Humor

This collaborative line came about when Scott Sternberg, the designer of "BAND OF OUTSIDERS," found himself frequently wearing "MACKINTOSH" outerwear. Through the lens of BAND OF OUTSIDERS, which expresses American preppy style, the concept was to "reconstruct the image of Mackintosh's traditional rubberized coats," resulting in a collection with unique color palettes and design details not found in their existing lines.


The second season, Spring/Summer 2015, draws inspiration from the clean business attire seen in "Mad Men," an American drama that meticulously recreates the social conditions and customs of the 1960s in New York's Madison Avenue. The image person for this collection is the protagonist, the shrewd creative director, Don Draper. The lineup includes items printed with yacht motifs, gradient block-check coats, and coats featuring the waterproof tape, normally found on the inside, applied to the exterior.
