After working in press relations for Attaché Press and LITHIUM HOMME/FEMME, Shunsuke Kuratomi launches his own brand, MN LAST, for the Spring/Summer 2015 season. The debut collection was well-received at its exhibition.

The brand name "MN LAST" combines MN, representing the two middle letters of the 27-letter alphabet (instinctual), with LAST, meaning supreme. Shunsuke Kuratomi explains, "We want to propose things that we instinctively consider supreme."
The concept for the debut collection is "MIND." With a theme of elegance in all items, the focus is on a balanced sensibility that incorporates artisanal elements, creating a look that is both intellectual and decadent.
Kuratomi elaborates, "Depending on the wearer's personal stance, the two contrasting elements of 'intellectual' and 'decadent' within the collection can be worn with entirely different balances. This isn't about adhering to traditional interpretations; rather, it's about how the dissonance arising from an individual's aesthetic sense transcends traditional values to create new understanding. The resulting balance, which emerges as one builds their own instinctive, go-to style beyond the conventional, is what influences the collection."
