Founder Pierre Corthay to Appear on Opening Day

Corthay was founded in France in 1990. The shoes created by founder Pierre Corthay have captivated fashion-loving men with their flowing, beautiful forms and modern designs featuring a rich palette of colors. In Japan, the brand boasts a devoted following at its directly managed store in Minami-Aoyama, Tokyo, which celebrates its 10th anniversary this year.

This marks the third year Isetan Shinjuku has carried Corthay. Last year's event, which recreated the brand's flagship store near Place Vendôme in Paris, is still fresh in memory, showcasing bespoke techniques and the manufacturing process.

This event, titled "LA COULEUR, C’EST CORTHAY ! - The Colorful World of Corthay -", features various attractions, including a visit from Pierre Corthay himself. Of particular note are the new releases, which will be launched globally for the first time here.

The new model, named "Corthay - Alka Stream," is inspired by aerodynamics, featuring hand-stitched double seams at the toe to express a streamlined form. Additionally, the "Lateral Lace," previously exclusive to bespoke orders, is now available in the ready-to-wear line. This elegant plain-toe shoe is accented with a slit on the side.
