The Meaning of "Comfortable Fit" for Urban Men

Deeply influenced by British men's dress shoe design and construction, H?Katsukawa From Tokyo's shoes, crafted by designer Eiichi Katsukawa, are born from a meticulous consideration of the essence of shoemaking and design. Each pair respects tradition and its background, with the entire production process serving as a source of inspiration.

This season's theme, "shoe fitting," focuses on the varied "comfort" derived from different construction methods and materials. The collection proposes footwear for urban life that meets men's needs, offering everything from the superior comfort of classically inherited methods to the high cushioning of Vibram's molded soles. Furthermore, the brand emphasizes the quality of natural leather, which provides both functional and emotional satisfaction in city living.

Tyrolean Shoes in Domestic Shark Leather

This season's new "H? Tyrolean Boots/Shoes" are Tyrolean shoes featuring hand-moccasin construction with a Goodyear welt, crafted in Japan. The moccasin section utilizes thick, precious domestic shark leather. For the sole, lightweight and agile Vibram 2012 soles are used, and the laces are from Australian outdoor brand Toby. The lining is made of soft, comfortable goat leather, while the silver color adds a fresh, sharp impression.

Sneakers Combining Shark and Goat Leather

The "THE SHOE OF LIFE BY H?KATSUKAWA Sneakers," an unusual combination of shark and goat leather, are urban sneakers featuring Vibram's highly cushioned molded sneaker soles and high-quality natural leather. Like leather shoes, these sneakers can be cared for similarly, making them a valuable item for long-term use.

H?Katsukawa x Isetan Men's Special Promotion

A special promotion offering new shoe releases and custom orders will be held at the Men's Shoes section on the B1 floor of Isetan Shinjuku Men's Building from September 10th (Wed) to 16th (Tue). This event will feature a unique visual promotion in collaboration with Timetron's artwork, creating a surprisingly immersive space. Stay tuned!



In 2008, he received a special judge's award at the JLIA LEATHER GOODS AWARD (Japan Leather Industry Association), an award that has produced many designers working with leather. Since 2010, his collections have been available at the Shoe Lab in Isetan Shinjuku Men's Building.
He has been invited to exhibit seven consecutive times as a POP UP STORE designer at PITTI UOMO, the world's largest men's fashion trade show held in Florence. In 2012, his work was featured at the renowned Parisian select shop L’Eclaireur. In the same year, his collection was also launched at DOVER STREET MARKET GINZA.
Each season, he continues to create high-quality, high-design shoes, establishing his unique position as a shoe designer. In 2010, he opened "THE SHOE OF LIFE," a lifestyle service shop primarily focused on shoe repair, in Meguro Ward, Tokyo, also engaging in leather aftercare services.
