Masterpieces That Inspired the Photographer

A collection of prestige shoes, befitting the Isetan Shinjuku Men's Building's men's shoe section, which strives to be "the world's finest fashion museum."—We present a showcase of the shoes brought to the special event "OPENERS x ISETAN MEN'S Special Photo Shoot," where participants received leather care instruction and consultation from Columbus's shoe shiners before having their meticulously polished shoes photographed.



The shoes brought to the shoot included prestigious British brands like Edward Green and John Lobb, world-renowned shoemakers such as J.M. Weston, Santoni, Stefano Bemer, and Aubercy, as well as Japanese artisans like Hiroshi Tsubouchi and Yohei Fukuda. Each pair was a sight to behold.

Particularly striking were the beautifully polished Stefano Bemer shoes and a 15-year-old pair of John Lobb "CHAMBOLD," purchased around 1999. The photographer seemed deeply moved by these shoes, which clearly conveyed the owners' affection.





Participants included couples, with one partner choosing Aubercy and the other Santoni, and many intently observing the photo session, filling the entire floor with a vibrant atmosphere.

As the shoes were polished before being photographed, there were opportunities to discuss shoe care with the participants. Concurrently, the leather care workshop and consultation by Columbus's shoe shiners were bustling with activity, with a constant stream of shoes being brought in for attention.
