Regarding the characteristics of Japanese dress shoes, Ms. Yoshie Nakamura, a men's shoe buyer, states, "Naturally, we have a deep understanding of the characteristics of Japanese feet, but we are also avid collectors of information on global footwear. With the dexterity unique to Japanese artisans, they incorporate trends into their designs while constantly integrating the best elements – that is the spirit of Japanese craftsmanship."

Furthermore, she adds, "The meticulous attention to detail, such as the punching broguing, the beautiful finishing of the 'yahazu' (a technique where the welt is chamfered to make the sole appear thinner and more delicate), and the precision of the stitching around the welt, are highlights of Japanese shoes. Due to their excellent balance of craftsmanship and price, the number of fans is increasing year by year."
