An Authentic Spring/Summer Collection with a Resort Vibe

"SABLE CLUTCH" began in Spring 2007 with 11 items made solely of black denim. The lineup has since expanded, and it is now presented as a total brand. Director Masataka Yamaguchi has been involved in denim production for many years, possessing extensive knowledge and experience, particularly in processing techniques. He has served as a processing advisor for various brands, from maison brands to national brands. SABLE CLUTCH proposes a style that smartly incorporates masculine, authentic items such as denim and leather.

Clean and Simple――Proposing Realistic Looks

――What is the theme/concept for the Spring/Summer 2014 collection?

This season's theme is "HAMPTON." Inspired by the resort town of Hampton, a summer retreat in suburban New York, we've developed a collection brimming with a resort feel. It features proposals for casual setups and jackets and slacks made from cut-and-sew materials, offering a relaxed atmosphere while maintaining SABLE CLUTCH's signature smart silhouette.

――What were the key points and what should people pay attention to in this season's look shoot?

We deliberately avoided anything overly complex, proposing clean, simple, and realistic looks.

――What are the differences from last year's Spring/Summer collection in terms of styling, silhouette, and color?

This season features a rich array of bright colors, which we haven't explored much before.

――What is the key look (coordination) for this season?

As it overlaps with the theme, it's a styling that mixes seemingly contradictory elements: a relaxed atmosphere with a tight silhouette, achieved through casual setups and jackets made from cut-and-sew materials.

――What are the key items and key colors?

The key items are casual setups, such as shirts and shorts, or sweatshirts and shorts. The key colors are blue, red, and yellow.

――What "material" did you focus on this season?

Denim.

――What are you paying attention to in the current fashion scene?

Children's clothing, or rather, baby clothes made from a father's perspective.

――Please share your personal goals for 2014, whether related to work or private life.

I'm having a child, so my goal is to be a good father. I also want to improve my cooking skills.
