The Spring/Summer 2014 Collection Has Arrived

A designer footwear brand, "White Flags," makes its mark with elegant designs that transcend both high fashion and street style. The brand name literally means "white flag," a symbol of peace. Here, we introduce the just-released Spring/Summer 2014 collection.

Expertly Designed with Luxurious Materials

White Flags' shoes are named after historical Nobel Peace Prize laureates and pacifists. The color white, their image color, is used to symbolize peace, the infinite potential to be dyed any color, and a rare, sacred existence born from genetic mutation.

For the Spring/Summer 2014 collection, quilted versions of the brand's iconic models, "Henri" and "Ludwig," are crafted from Japanese denim. New models, "Ralph" and "Woodrow," are also introduced.

"Woodrow" in collaboration with Taro Out

The brand's iconic models, "Henri" and "Ludwig," feature quilting made from selvedge denim fabric produced by KUROKI in Okayama Prefecture, highly favored by maison brands. The uppers, available in navy and natural, are accented with orange selvedge lines.

This season also sees the debut of two new models. "Ralph," named after Ralph Bunche, the first Black recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize in 1950, is White Flags' first slip-on model. The "Woodrow," a mid-cut model based on deck sneakers, is named after Woodrow Wilson, the 28th President of the United States.

"Ralph" and "Woodrow" feature a mode-inspired design with patchwork of tone-on-tone leathers such as python, crocodile, long velour, and star-dot patterns. Additionally,Taro Outmodels in leopard print and floral motifs, created in collaboration with Mr. Out, will also be released. These will be produced in a limited run of 300 pairs.
