Seeking Harmony Between the Comfort of Home and the Polish of Going Out
Clothing to Enjoy Freely and Relaxed
The brand "semoh" debuted in the Spring/Summer 2012 season. Designer Hiroyuki Ueyama states, "I want to explore the harmony between the sense of liberation one feels at home and the sense of alertness when going out, in the clothing that many people, including myself, wear daily."

What Harmony Allows Us to Exist Amidst Various "Duality"?
—What is the theme/concept for the Spring/Summer 2014 collection?
The brand concept is: "We believe that the first line of communication, where people express themselves and recognize others, is through spoken words and the clothes they wear." What harmony allows us to exist amidst various "duality"?—With this as the theme, I want to explore the harmony between the sense of liberation one feels at home and the sense of alertness when going out, in the clothing that many people, including myself, wear daily.
—What are the key items and key colors?
The key colors are blue and green, along with gray, which we've used year-round. This season, we created shirts and our standard t-shirts using a magnificent indigo dye, naturally dyed by the artisan at LITMUS.
—What "materials" did you focus on this season?
We create knits on a hand-knitting machine every autumn and winter, but this spring and summer, we tried making t-shirts using silk yarn. Additionally, our leather accessories, produced every season, have evolved into new forms this season. We hope you will appreciate the unique luster and warmth of both.
—Please share your personal goals for 2014, whether for work or private life.
I aim to offer clothing that allows people to express their thoughts and ideas while enjoying themselves in a relaxed and free manner. We look forward to your continued support.
