ANACHRONORM | Spring/Summer 2014 Collection

ANACHRONORM

This season's theme: “NEXT VINTAGE ERA AND URBAN UNIFORMS”

Styling the worlds of two labels

“We're styling with the image of people gathering at coffee shops around New York's 'MORNINGSIDE PARK,' a place said to have been frequented by beat poets,” explains this season's ANACHRONORM. We're drawn to the styles that pair aged pants with jackets made from various fabrics.

The expression of "ANACHRONORM Reading" and "Anachronorm CLOTHING"

What is the theme/concept for the Spring/Summer 2014 collection?

The theme is “NEXT VINTAGE ERA AND URBAN UNIFORMS.”
For “ANACHRONORM Reading,” we imagine the world around the 1960s, where four fictional characters lived, with the concept of the next vintage era. We express the “story” etched into each item by how they used it in different places and situations.
Meanwhile, for “Anachronorm CLOTHING,” this season we propose jacket styles that can be worn casually and effortlessly as uniforms for contemporary people, centering on three-piece items made from various fabrics.

What are the differences from last year's Spring/Summer collection in terms of styling, silhouette, and color?

In the CLOTHING line, we see items in vibrant colors for shirts and coats, offering pieces that can be used as accents or focal points for outfits.

What is the key look (coordination) for this season?

The coordination of aged items (pants) paired with jackets made from various fabrics embodies the story that defines this season.

Focus on painter pants created imagining the aging of models

What are the key items and key colors?

The key item is the “SNOW CAMOFLAGE Set-Up.” This includes a coat made from an original fabric featuring a snow camouflage pattern adopted by the German army in the 1960s, printed on a chino material with residual raw cotton fibers, interpreted through ANACHRONORM's unique perspective on military wear. It also includes a lapel jacket, vest, and two types of pants (shorts and trousers).
These painter pants are finished with hand patchwork and remakes. They are created imagining the aging of the models that were also offered when the brand first launched.

What "materials" did you focus on this season?

What are you currently noticing in the fashion scene?

The way fashion styles are evolving in the 2010s. I'm paying attention to how people choose items and style themselves in a way that reflects their individual lifestyles and backgrounds.

Please tell us your goals for 2014, both professionally and personally.

ANACHRONORM will celebrate its 10th anniversary in the Autumn/Winter 2014-15 season. We aim to realize and succeed with the plans we've formulated leading up to this milestone.
