As Tokyo Midtown hosts the main venue for "Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week TOKYO 2012 S/S," attention shifts to the upcoming spring and summer seasons. Birvin Uniform, a new men's casual brand debuting next spring, has unveiled its lookbook. The brand is the brainchild of a team of four designers with deep knowledge of menswear, targeting men in their late thirties.

Playful Casual Wear for the Discerning Man

Birvin Uniform derives its name from the portmanteau "BIRTH × VINTAGE × UNIFORM." The collection masterfully blends intricate aging techniques reminiscent of vintage pieces with stylish, unique ideas, offering a sophisticated and comfortable adult casual aesthetic.

As the visuals suggest, the brand proposes a comfortable style centered on "men's wear standards" that incorporate playfulness and character, inspired by the life of a man living by the sea. Particular attention should be paid to the clever print techniques, meticulous attention to detail, and the genuine, uncompromised sense of fun, all born from a profound understanding of menswear fundamentals.

For its debut season, Spring/Summer 2012, the collection's theme is "beach soccer." Each season will feature uniforms inspired by the imagined story of "a man working in a uniformed profession."

To commemorate the debut of Birvin Uniform, an order event for the public will be held over two days, November 5th (Saturday) and 6th (Sunday), at the gallery "BORN FREE WORKS" in Yuigahama, Kamakura.
