Enjoy Running Even in Tough Conditions
Based on feedback from runners who log miles even when daylight is scarce, Nike designers developed the "NIKE FLASH PACK" collection of footwear and apparel, utilizing reflective and water-repellent materials.
The "NIKE FLASH PACK" comprises four footwear models to suit runners' levels and styles: the Nike LunarGlide+ 5 Shield, Nike Free 5.0+ Shield, Nike Zoom Structure+ 17 Shield, and the Nike Air Pegasus+ 30 Shield (available at select retailers).
All four models feature unique reflective patterns that enhance runner visibility, appearing discreetly during the day and flashing vividly when illuminated in the dark. For water resistance, they employ a three-layer mesh that repels water while maintaining breathability. The tongue uses a dense mesh, finished with a durable water-repellent (DWR) coating for breathability. Additionally, microfleece on the collar and inside the tongue enhances warmth.
Furthermore, the apparel collection includes the "Nike Shield Flash Jacket," which offers water resistance and reflectivity to maintain runner visibility in low-light conditions.Nature Amplified Design PhilosophyThe collection also features the ultra-lightweight and breathable "Nike Aeroloft 800 Fill Down Vest," created based on this philosophy, and apparel made with "Nike Dri-FIT Wool" material—a blend of wool and polyester for base layers that wicks sweat away from the skin and dries quickly.
