FLISTFIA Autumn/Winter 2013-14 Collection
FLISTFIA
This season's mood: chic and classic pieces and colors.
Sophisticated adult style in jersey.
“Every season, I create without any particular theme, just based on how I feel at the moment,” says Hiroshi Kuramoto, designer of FLISTFIA. Regarding the Autumn/Winter collection, he explains, “While there’s no overarching theme, this season’s mood is expressed through chic and slightly classic items and colors.” He introduces his latest collection.

We want you to feel the actual materials, shapes, and mood from the lookbook.
—What were your priorities for this season's lookbook shoot, and what should people pay attention to?
We aimed for a chic and classic atmosphere that matches this season's mood. Since it's jersey material, the quality often comes through when you touch it, but we tried to convey the actual materials, shapes, and mood through the lookbook.
—What are the key looks (coordinations) this season?
It's looks with cardigans or jackets layered over. We're pairing them with shirts or henley neck shirts underneath, and then a sweatshirt on top, creating a sophisticated yet casual style. Of course, everything is made from jersey, so while it's comfortable and easy to wear, it achieves a refined adult look.
—What are the key items and key colors?
The key item is this season's new jacket-style cardigan. It's made from a special, firm fabric knitted with two threads. However, because it's a jersey material, it has a lightness and stretch within its firmness, making it very comfortable to wear. Even though it has the structure of a jacket, you can wear it without feeling fatigued. The hem and cuffs are raw-edged, giving it a casual jacket feel. The colors are also chic navy and charcoal, making it casual yet refined.
—What is the "material" you focused on this season?
It's the fabric for the jacket cardigan introduced as a key item. This fabric, knitted using an uncommon method, is densely woven to an exceptional degree, giving it a beautiful crispness. Yet, it's not stiff or rough at all; it has a soft texture.
—What is the most rewarding part of being a designer?
It's incredibly rewarding when what I first imagined in my head comes to fruition as a garment that I'm satisfied with. And it makes me very happy when people like and purchase the clothes I've made.
—A message to your fans.
We will continue to create jersey wear that is distinctly FLISTFIA, so please look forward to each season.
