New attire born from the consistent theme and concept symbolized by the brand name.
Elegant menswear expressed through layering.
For this season's lookbook shoot, Masahiko Maruyama, the designer of "nude:masahiko maruyama," aimed for "a cleaner, more accessible, adult mode sensibility than before." We focus on the latest collection, born from the brand name "NUDE."

—What is the theme/concept for the 2013-14 Autumn/Winter collection?
"NUDE," which is also the brand name, is a consistent theme and concept that transcends seasons. We eliminate decorative designs and incorporate functional, essential cuts and original materials into NUDE's signature layering, military, and long-silhouette mode.
—What is the key look (coordination) for this season?
A coordinated look with a rose-like neck formed by triple hoods, achieved by layering a fishtail parka with a double, wired hood over a wool hooded coat used as a liner. The fishtail parka, a NUDE staple that evolves each season, is styled with a military-to-mode impression.
—What are the key items and key colors?
Key items include the fishtail parka mentioned in the key look, a long coat with a high neck and leather belt, and a padded high-neck vest that can be worn over a coat. The key colors are black and gray.
—What "materials" did you focus on this season?
We used woven wool fabric with a knit-like texture, and a series of garment-dyed items made from several types of wool fabric, with shrinkage rates meticulously calculated.
—What is the rewarding aspect of being a designer?
During an exhibition in Paris, when buyers saw my most confident pieces of the season and praised them with words like "BEAUTIFUL!!" or "BELISSIMO!!" in Italian, and then proceeded to place orders, I felt "It was worth continuing to create what I love!"
—A message to your fans.
For Spring/Summer 2014, in addition to our existing lines, we will be introducing a collaboration line with artists with intellectual disabilities called "NUDE:PR-y," as well as collaborations with photographers. I believe we can show different facets of nude:masahiko maruyama, so please look forward to it.
