A Colorway Sure to Sell Out

The latest model in the "99X" series, the 11th generation, is the "M990" you see here. The original "990," first released in 1982 as a high-performance, high-quality running shoe, dominated the sneaker scene with its technology and design. At the time, its advertising described it as "a perfect shoe, confident enough to score 990 out of a possible 1000 points." Since then, it has continued to evolve, maintaining its commitment to being made in America and its signature gray colorway, while incorporating the latest technology.





The new "BOSTON" colorway for the "M990," announced this time, is said to be inspired by the many historical events and famous stories associated with Boston.

The most famous story associated with Boston is said to be "Paul Revere's Midnight Ride." It tells of how, in April 1775 during the Revolutionary War, silversmith Paul Revere rode through the night to warn the locals of the British army's advance towards Lexington, saving the people. It remains a story told today as a symbol of patriotism and a model for patriots in the United States.

Based on Paul Revere's brave midnight ride, the new "M990" colorway features a deep purple upper reminiscent of the night sky, with a horse motif on the heel. The insole is also printed with a map highlighting his route.

The vibrant purple of the upper, the gray of the N logo and midsole, and the outsole in a deep orange that acts as a point of accent... this beautiful color scheme is truly stunning and will capture the hearts of New Balance fans.

Additionally, as part of the "Global City Pack Collection," the "M/W890" models, inspired by the three cities of Boston, London, and Tokyo, are also available.
