Japan Chosen as the Stage for a World Premiere Event
Corthay is a French shoe maison founded in 1990. Founder Pierre CorthayJohn Lobband Berluti, then struck out on his own. Corthay's shoes are often described as artistic, possessing a unique, designer-driven presence for bespoke footwear.
The theme of this event is to recreate Maison Corthay, located on Rue Volney near Place Vendôme in Paris, within the Isetan Shinjuku Men's Building.

Corthay-Alka crafted from camel skin
The Parisian boutique, the bespoke atelier, and the cellar where lasts and leathers are stored. "Atelier Corthay," which recreates all of these through illustrations, begins with this event at Isetan and is planned to tour various countries worldwide. During this event, a dedicated Japanese craftsman from Corthay will visit Japan to demonstrate bespoke techniques and the manufacturing process.
Also on display and for sale will be the new "Bel Air" and the camel skin "Corthay-Alka." "Bel Air," named after the Bel Air district of Los Angeles, is a new style of loafer that combines casual and elegant elements. Meanwhile, the classic "Corthay-Alka" model, highly popular at Corthay, uses camel skin sourced from desert tanneries, known for its exceptionally soft and durable fiber structure. By actively utilizing new leather materials, they continuously drive innovation.
Experience the feeling of being in a Parisian maison at "Atelier Corthay." Why not commission a pair of lifelong shoes within its world?
