Elegantly formed with techniques rooted in tradition. The General Store, a select shop in Minami-Aoyama, will host the first-ever trunk show in Japan for the highly acclaimed shoe brand Anthony Cleverly, for five days starting Thursday, February 7th.

Five Days to Experience True Craftsmanship

2013 marks 20 years since the passing of the legendary shoemaker Anthony Cleverly, whose creations have inspired countless cobblers worldwide. Today, his exquisite shoes are crafted by artisans who have inherited his techniques, continuing to captivate a devoted following.

The General Store in Minami-Aoyama is one of the few select shops in Japan to carry Anthony Cleverly. This trunk show will feature a wider selection than usual. George Glasgow Jr. of George Cleverley, the company that produces Anthony Cleverly shoes, will be present to take custom orders, offering a choice of approximately 20 last samples and over 30 different leather options.

This is a rare opportunity to custom order these exquisite pieces, characterized by their slightly elongated nose and sharp silhouette, which elegantly complete any look, from formal to smart casual.

Furthermore, the lasts originally crafted by Anthony Cleverly himself will be on display during the event. Shoe enthusiasts should not miss this chance to witness his craftsmanship firsthand.
