Square Models Arrive for Classic Sports Watches!

New Models in the "Onitsuka Tiger" Watch Collection

Onitsuka Tiger, with its concept of "Made of Japan," launched a global campaign in 2012. The Onitsuka Tiger watch collection by Seiko Instruments will introduce "Chronograph (Square) Models" and "Basic (Square) Models" in early August.

Chronograph Models Feature Steel and Calf Leather Bands

This watch collection draws inspiration from the "nostalgic, distinctive style" of early domestic sports watches developed from the late 1960s to the 1970s, aligning with the contemporary sensibility of the historic Japanese sports fashion brand, Onitsuka Tiger.

The two models being released feature prominent square cases and classic ladder-style bracelets. The case backs are engraved with a "tiger," further enhancing the Onitsuka Tiger aesthetic.

The sporty chronograph model incorporates colorways inspired by the popular Onitsuka Tiger shoe, "MEXICO 66." The simple three-hand basic model features a gradient dial, a common design element in 1970s timepieces.

Both models will be available from early August at Onitsuka Tiger flagship stores and authorized watch retailers nationwide in Japan.
