With the final Asian qualifiers for the 2014 Brazil World Cup looming on June 3rd, the Samurai Blue, Japan's national football team, are preparing. A new model of their official suit, designed to express their pride, strength, and unity, has arrived at dunhill boutiques nationwide.dunhillboutiques.

The Concept for 2012: “Power Suit”

This marks the 13th year that dunhill has been crafting the official suits for the Japan national football team. Since 2010, under the slogan “Winning Attire,” they have proposed the ultimate formal wear for men facing crucial moments. These are the off-pitch uniforms that elegantly envelop the national team members during press conferences and overseas travel.

This season, the “Winning Attire” is themed around the “POWER SUIT.” The campaign features the starting lineup for the 2014 World Cup third qualifying round match against Uzbekistan. The result is a superb finish that makes the men who live through intense competition appear even more dignified and inspired.

The suit features a quintessentially British, structured silhouette that enhances the dynamism of male movement and expression, utilizing dunhill's classic St. James fit. It comprises a single-breasted, two-button jacket with side vents and flat-front trousers. Crafted from 100% wool fabric with a light blue alternate stripe pattern reminiscent of the Samurai Blue, it offers a smooth texture and a deep luster. Available through a custom order program, not ready-to-wear, ensuring a perfect fit.

Accessories are also available to further enhance the allure of the “Winning Attire.” These include a cutaway shirt with a light blue gusset accent, a tie woven with a pattern inspired by a goal net, cufflink button covers featuring sodalite (a type of natural stone) in blue, and a reversible belt with a navy chassis leather and black smooth cowhide leather finish. Each accessory is designed to ensure a man's attire is impeccably polished for battle.

Carrying the hopes of the Japanese nation, the Samurai Blue stride onto the pitch with their chests held high. This power suit promises to bestow upon us, too, the nobility and resilience they embody.
