AMI Alexandre Mattiussi Opens First Japan Store in Omotesando

Since its debut in Fall/Winter 2011, the sophisticated collection from French brand "AMI Alexandre Mattiussi" has garnered attention, quickly establishing itself as a trendsetter. The brand's first flagship store in Japan, "AMI Omotesando," will open on September 12th (Saturday) on the first floor of GYRE in Omotesando, Tokyo.

A Store Design That Embraces Light, Space, and Texture

Artistic Director Alexandre Mattiussi launched his eponymous brand, "AMI Alexandre Mattiussi," in 2011. With a concept that men's wardrobes should be well-designed, easy to wear, chic, and above all, cool, the brand offers high-quality, sophisticated items at accessible prices. In 2013, it received the prestigious ANDAM Fashion Award in Paris.

The store design for the first Japan flagship was handled by "STUDIO KO," the architectural firm responsible for three of AMI's Paris boutiques. Based on the new store that opened on Rue Saint-Honoré in Paris this June, the Tokyo store's design incorporates its unique architectural environment. The interior, featuring marble, creates a modern contrast with rattan, cork, green plants, and brass rails suspended from the ceiling. Vintage furniture is arranged to evoke a Parisian mood. The aim is to create a comfortable space that embodies the brand's world view, blending French chic with relaxed elegance and a sense of openness. Additionally, limited-edition items will be available to commemorate the store's opening, including printed shirts, knits, and laptop pouches.
