"ESSENTIAL": Pursuing the Essence of Functional Beauty Through Elimination
The "ESSENTIAL" line featured two models on the runway: MMESSE006 and MMESSE008. MMESSE006 is a radical double-bridge sunglass. Meanwhile, MMESSE008 adopts an experimental hexagonal form, embodying Maison Margiela's avant-garde aesthetic.
The "ESSENTIAL" line, which has been a series since the first collaboration, is exclusively crafted from stainless steel. This collection captivates with designs where superfluous details are stripped away, and functionality becomes the source of beauty. This season, new additions like round and triangular shapes join the line, bringing the total to eight models. The frames, made solely from stainless steel without any other components, exude a distinct product-like aura.
The frames are coated with a transparent powder layer that envelops them, featuring a rounded structure that extends to the temple tips. They are unisex and available in six colors. These are available at MYKITA shops worldwide, select Maison Margiela boutiques, optical stores, and department stores.
