Expressing the "Ultimate Jordan" with New Materials and Colors

The legendary "Air Jordan 1" first appeared in March 1985. This single shoe, which can rightly be said to have created sneaker culture, was favored by Michael Jordan, then playing for the NBA's Chicago Bulls, and also elevated his fame.

The MTM collection is the product of the talents of three individuals: Michael Jordan, Mark Parker (Nike CEO), and Tinker Hatfield (designer). "AIR JORDAN MTM" looks back at the 30-year history of Air Jordan, while using new materials and colors for each to create the ultimate Jordan to date.

Michael Jordan says, "MTM is a wonderful commemoration of the 30th anniversary of the Air Jordan series. It was a lot of fun working with Tinker Hatfield and Mark Parker to reimagine two of the best shoes we've ever created." Mark Parker, who has a special fondness for the Air Jordan 1, adds, "Tinker and I had talked about working on Jordan projects together for a long time, but having Michael himself join us made this the most powerful project possible. We're already working on the next MTM project, which will break new ground for Jordan."

The Latest Model Embodies Jordan's Mission

The "Air Jordan XX9" in the MTM pack, embodying Jordan's mission to "provide the best functional solutions for the world's most dynamic athletes," features Flyweave in rich black leather. The one-piece leather construction transforms the exterior, with only the Flight Plate technology and distinctive outsole hinting at the high performance concealed within the shoe.

Additionally, the MTM "Air Jordan 1" upper uses black and gray Flyweave instead of the leather used in the original. Advanced technology allows for a lightness and a seamless construction and pattern impossible with leather, while preserving the iconic elements of the original Air Jordan 1, creating a new style.
