A Prestigious Tuscan Knitwear Manufacturer Taps a New Designer

AINEA's 2015-16 Autumn/Winter Menswear Collection

Launched in 2013 by "Lanificio Becagli," a Tuscan textile company, with Italian designer Andrea A. as Creative Director, "AINEA" is a brand that proposes new fashion possibilities and visions for our rapidly changing modern world, shaped by the internet and globalization. This season marks the arrival of the brand's menswear collection in Japan.

An Exploration of Art and Fashion Fusion

Following the successful womenswear debut of "AINEA" in the 2013-14 Autumn/Winter season with coats and dresses crafted from high-quality faux fur, comparable to the real fur for which Becagli is renowned, the menswear line is now being introduced in Japan this season.

Both the womenswear and menswear collections showcase innovative use of fabrics and fur materials, meticulously crafted in Italy by fabric specialists. The designs boldly explore new patterns and styles, with the distinctive color-blocked border knits standing out as an iconic element, rendered in this season's key colors.

Andrea A., AINEA's Creative Director, is an Italian designer born in 1983. With a background in art philosophy from university and a subsequent career in the contemporary art world, working with international galleries, he brings a unique perspective to fashion.

AINEA was born from a meeting with Becagli's creative team in January 2013, driven by the ambition to "fuse art and fashion."
