The Maison Kitsuné Interpretation of the "Weston Classic" Style

The bi-color loafers are stamped with their product number in gold on the exterior, and the derbies feature brick-red soles. The "East Hampton" collection is a fresh creation, blending J.M. Weston's heritage with the designers' playful spirit.

To offer a new interpretation of J.M. Weston's classics, Kitsuné first crafted a narrative of a fictional American character, fresh from East Hampton.

The story unfolds in East Hampton, a seaside resort. It depicts 1950s American upper-class individuals enjoying life's simple pleasures, such as yacht parties and leisurely afternoons with friends. The items created from this imagination are all simple, with an understated elegance at their core.

Masaya Kuroki and Gilda Loaec of Kitsuné create a timeless preppy style using high-quality materials. As they weave their narrative, they meticulously refine every detail.

This collection, "East Hampton," also echoes the story of J.M. Weston's founder, Eugène Blanchard. Driven by an insatiable thirst for knowledge, he crossed the Atlantic in 1904 to learn the Goodyear welting technique in America, bringing it back to France and establishing J.M. Weston as a maker of the highest quality shoes. It is indeed the Maison Kitsuné interpretation of the "Weston Classic" style.
