Ted Baker's playful shop makes its debut in Omotesando!

Founded in 1988 as a shirt specialist in Glasgow, Scotland, Ted Baker has since expanded to offer a diverse range of menswear and womenswear, captivating fans worldwide. This British brand is finally making its debut in Japan.

Analog Meets Digital—Japan's first store: a fusion of 1950s style and cutting-edge technology

Led by Ray Kelvin, Ted Baker began as a dress shirt specialist before gradually expanding its offerings to include menswear, fragrances, watches, bags, and womenswear. The brand has gained popularity not only in its home country but globally, thanks to its designs that break conventions and incorporate a touch of "British humour" in every detail.

Ted Baker will open its highly anticipated first Japanese store, "Ted Baker Omotesando," on March 16th, showcasing its Spring/Summer 2012 collection. Located just moments from Omotesando Station, the shop spans two floors, basement and ground level. It will feature a wide selection of menswear, womenswear, accessories, shoes, and fragrances from the latest collection, characterized by its vibrant colours and sharp silhouettes.

Ted Baker designs its stores with a unique theme for each location. The Omotesando store embraces a fusion of 1950s "analog technology" and contemporary "cutting-edge technology," with quirky props placed throughout the shop, mirroring the brand's distinctive apparel. Alongside striking items like vintage typewriters and custom 3D wallpaper inspired by old electrical components, visitors will find delightful surprises such as London's iconic black cabs and a giant telephone exchange equipped with LED flashlights. This playful, Ted Baker-esque shop is poised to become a new landmark in Omotesando.
